This is Glenluce Abbey. Nobody at Historic Scotland bothered to tell me that it’s closed for the winter when they sold me a photography permit for this and several other sites that are closed for the winter. Fortunately, a young lady who was doing some restoration work on the site took pity on me when I showed her my permit and and let me wander the grounds for about two hours. This one will definitely show up in the next “Portals of Stone” series.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing stars in this one… I have returned to the UK in search of more “Portals of Stone” – Send destination suggestions to [email protected] .
